TV and Movie
I was having a discussion last night about TV show movies. Kelly said no TV show has ever been made into a decent movie. Define Movie: A full length Hollywood movie, not a made-for-TV movie. Define Decent: Whatever Kelly likes. I couldn't think of any to back-up my argument. I suggested Blues Brothers (or any SNL-character-based movies). She said no, that was a skit not a TV show. PeeWee's Big Adventure is about the only backing I could get, man do I feel "special" (word of the day, everybody scream real loud!). So, I now enlist the power of the web and you my readers to prove her wrong. Between us all we can surely find a decent movie out there that has drawn it's inspiration from the good ole' boob tube. Speaking of boob, I also suggested "Dukes of Hazard", to which she reminded me that we are looking for a 'good' one. My last vote? Starsky and Hutch. That was a great movie! So, help and post your thoughts below!

The Fugitive, Dragnet, Charlies Angels (not my favorite, but some people liked it...), Star Trek, The Little Rascals
Now, i have not seen all of these movies, so i can't tell you if they are good or not, but the Fugitive and fantastic and should back your point quite nicely, Ben
Ok, the Fugitive was great- didn't know that was based off a TV show. Um haven't seen a Dragnet movie- Charlie's Angels PLEASE! those were AWFUL movies! The Little Rascals was good too.
The only one I conceded to initially was the Adams Family- I thought those were pretty funny...
Mission Impossible sucked John.
Batman? Even though that was originally a comic. Wyatt Earp? That's based on The Life & Legend of Wyatt Earp. The Untouchables?
I forgot about the X-files.... that was pretty good, but i guess you had to be into the show to really enjoy it.
The first MI was great, the second, not so good....
Miami Vice with Colin Ferrell and Jaime Foxx comes out soon. Dont know how good it will be.
Um I thought Wyatt Earp was based off a book? Regardless, Tombstone is the better version. Batman....based off a comic more so than a TV show. The first Batman was good, but generally I loathe movies based off comic books too.
P.S. I just read on CNN that Magnum P.I. is coming to the big screen. Man o man, if Tom Selleck was in it, which I'm sure he's not, it might have potential.

Bewitched, Aeon Flux, Serenity, X-Men. All good movies, all TV shows at some point. Has Kelly lost this argument yet?
So they make you count the kids and have morning announcements after they already should have been there for two hours. Makes sense.
the rationale with HR after second period was to make students get here on time bc they would actually be missing class. Most kids blew off HR bc it is a complete waste of time most days.
Didn't see Aeon Flux, but I think that was just a short cartoon right? Like I said, hate the comic book based movies. To each his own though, those are just my opinions, which, incidentally do happen to always be right :-) ahahahahaa!
Aeon Flux was not a cartoon, i think Charlize Theron was in it, actually... never saw it, though. And, I must say, apparently your opinions arent always right. We have disproven your theory many times over, and you think Bonefish is amazing :) Love ya!
No "the one who is really always right", I'm about to prove you wrong. Aeon Flux the movie was with people- yes, Charlize Theoron. It was based off of a cartoon that used to come on MTV's liquid television. BAM! And I don't think Bonefish is amazing, I just like it.
